Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how QuizzyNest Ltd collects, uses and protects personal data across the two brands it operates:
- QuizzyNest (quizzynest.co.uk): a parent-controlled online maths learning programme for children aged 9–14;
- CalmNest Stories™ (calmneststories.com, calmtantrums.com, twohomesonesafenight.com, fulllibraryhub.com): downloadable story packs (PDF and MP3) for parents and caregivers.
Both brands use the same payment account. Card payments for either brand appear on your statement as QUIZZYNEST LTD.

2. What data we collect
When you buy from either brand
- your email address and, if you give it, your name;
- payment details from Stripe: the product, amount, currency, date and transaction references. We never see or store your full card number;
- for subscriptions: subscription status, renewal and cancellation dates.
QuizzyNest learning programme
- the parent's email address and login details for the parent account;
- an avatar name chosen by the parent (a nickname, not the child's real name) and the child's age band (9–10, 11–12 or 13–14);
- learning data: quiz answers, scores, attempts, progress and the parent reports we create from them.
Children do not register, do not get their own email account and are not asked for their real name. The parent creates and controls the account.

- your email address, the pack purchased, a secure download link, how many times it has been used and when it expires.
Website and email
- technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, used for security and to make the sites work;
- if you accept cookies: advertising measurement data through the Meta Pixel (see section 6);
- email delivery and engagement data (for example, whether an email was opened), where our email tools record it;
- messages you send us.
3. How we use your data and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Taking payment, delivering CalmNest downloads, providing QuizzyNest access, sessions and parent reports | Performance of a contract |
| Managing subscriptions, renewals, cancellations and refunds | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Customer support, preventing fraud and misuse of download links, keeping our systems secure | Legitimate interests |

We do not use your data, or your child's learning data, for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell personal data.
4. Children's data
QuizzyNest is used by children, but it is bought and managed by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over. We keep children's data to the minimum needed to run the programme: an avatar nickname, an age band and learning results. We do not show advertising to children inside the learning programme and we do not use children's learning data for marketing.
CalmNest Stories products are bought by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the CalmNest sites.
5. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, only for the purposes above:
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions;
- Supabase: secure database for orders, download links, accounts and learning data;
- MailerLite: email delivery and mailing lists;
- Hostinger: website hosting, servers (including our own automation server) and email;
- Google reCAPTCHA: spam and abuse protection on forms, where used;
- Meta Platforms: advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel, only after you accept cookies.
We may also share data with professional advisers, or with authorities where the law requires it.
6. Cookies and the Meta Pixel
We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage settings, for example to remember your currency choice, your cookie choice and your login. The Meta Pixel only loads after you accept cookies in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on each site. More detail is in our Cookie Policy.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK, for example in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
8. How long we keep data

9. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, expiry dates and download limits on download links and restricted access to our database. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if something goes wrong.
10. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data (including your child's learning data);
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- give you your data in a portable format;
- stop using it where we rely on consent (for example, marketing or the Meta Pixel).
